Sympathy. Reassurance. Everything will be all right again. I was watching "The New Look," an Apple TV+ drama about Parisian designers during and after the Nazi occupation. My heart went out to Christian Dior, whose sister was taken while working for the Resistance. She's tortured and transported to Ravensbruck, and he struggles with self-blame and heartbreak. His story really touched me, and I imagined what I would like to put on his bedside table after his sister is returned and all is well again. This bouquet is what my heart called me paint, and what I would liked to have given to him.
